Create Your First Automation
Automations help you respond to customers instantly, even when you're not available. Let's create a simple auto-reply for new messages.
What Are Automations?
Automations are rules that trigger actions automatically. For example:
- When someone sends "price" → Reply with your price list
- When you get a new follower → Send a welcome DM
- When someone comments on a post → Reply with a thank you
Creating Your First Auto-Reply
Let's create an automation that welcomes new customers who message you.
Step 1: Go to Automation Settings
- Open your PishDast dashboard
- Click Automation in the sidebar
- Click Create Automation
Step 2: Set the Trigger
Choose what starts the automation:
- Select trigger type: DM Received
- Set conditions (optional):
- Keyword: Leave empty to match all messages
- Platform: Choose Instagram, Telegram, or All
Step 3: Add an Action
Choose what happens when triggered:
- Click Add Action
- Select: Send DM
- Write your message:

Thanks for reaching out. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Step 4: Configure Settings
Fine-tune your automation:
- Active Hours: Only run during business hours (optional)
- Daily Limit: Maximum runs per day (prevents spam)
- Priority: Higher priority runs first if multiple match
Step 5: Save and Activate
- Give your automation a name (e.g., "Welcome Message")
- Toggle Active to ON
- Click Save
Testing Your Automation
- Send a test message to your connected Instagram or Telegram
- Check that the auto-reply is sent
- Verify the response content is correct

Price Inquiry Auto-Reply
Trigger: DM contains "price" or "قیمت"
Action: Send DM with price list or catalog link
New Follower Welcome
Trigger: New follower on Instagram
Action: Send welcome DM with special offer

Tips for Effective Automations
Keep Messages Personal
- Use a friendly, conversational tone

Don't Over-Automate
- Some conversations need a human touch
- Set reasonable daily limits
- Review automation logs regularly
Use AI-Generated Responses
- Enable AI responses for dynamic, context-aware replies
- AI can understand customer intent
- Escalate complex questions to you automatically
Understanding Automation Logs
Check your automation logs to see:
- When automations ran
- What triggered them
- What actions were taken
- Any errors that occurred
